Its based on photographs taken from the Mirgin la, a high mountain pass in the Kanchenjunga area of Nepal. I,m relatively happy with the way its going. With my last attempt I was never really satisfied with the sky. Since then I've experimented with lots of different blue watercolours. I found Schmincke Ultramarine worked for me the best. However If I ever try and paint a cloudless blue sky again I may try out a few different makes of HP paper first.
