A new start -a new watercolour

Its been a while, but I've started painting again.
Lapwing1
This painting is based on a photograph I took, from the Eric Morecambe hide, Leighton moss RSPB reserve. In the winter time lapwings move around in flocks. It was high tide in Morecambe bay, the birds were moving off the salt marsh on to the adjacent fields. I had recently done an excellent evening printing course at the the Brewery arts centre, Kendal. So this was supposed to be a preliminary quick painting, with a view to doing a dry point print. I soon realised it would make a wonderful watercolour painting. Watch this space to see if a print ever emerges?
