Drypoint involves scratching/ drawing an image onto a plate( in this case plexiglass), inking up the plate by hand then passing it through a roller press, the reverse image being printed onto the paper. In this case additional handcolouring with watercolour completed the work. The result is a unique individual piece of work that combines the craftmanship of hand printing and artist skills of a watercolourist.
The drypoint was based on the artists own observations and photograph.
