Jannu North Face-"The Wall of Shadows." SOLD

An original miniature watercolour painting measuring 13cm x 8.5cm unframed.

This beautifull view of the sacred mountain I found out later was first photographed by the famous Vittorio Sella in 1899 on the Freshfield circumnavigation of Kanchenjung expedition. (And I imagine everyone with a camera who has passed by since!) Officially called Kumbhakarna, the peak is better known to climbers as Jannu. Picture based on artists own observations and photographs Nepal 2023.
